Fishing tours to The Danube Delta are based on staying on a small floating houseboat, The Avis, wich is moored on the Sfintu Gheorghe branch of the Danube. The Avis has 9 twin/double-bedded cabins, all with private shower and toilet facilities, an air-conditioned dining room and bar, as well as a lovely 33 metre long deck for relaxing in the open air. Group size is normally limited to a maximum of 9 people for rods but can accommodate more if friends travel together and share cabins.
Weather guide : in the summer months the weather will be mainly hot and dry, in September and October pleasantly warm and mostly dry, though cool at night, and in the winter mainly cold and dry.
Fishing : takes place on Sfintu Ghoerghe Branch and the lakes around the branch. Besides the Danube itself, there is a large area of channels and lakes where fishing is either from a small boat or from the shore, according to location and species, offering a wide choice opportunity.
Meals : all the meals provided during your stay will be a variety of Romanian and International dishes, with an emphasis on the local cuisine. Most of the food is organic and produced locally, including the meat and locally caught fish. If you have any special dietary requirements, please advice prior to departure.
September and October are good for Pike, Catfish, Carp and Perch.
