DAY 1

Meeting with the guide at the international airport Otopeni. Transfer by bus for approximately 4-5 hours, 300 kilometers, the distance between Bucharest and Tulcea, the main gate of the Danube Delta. Welcome cocktail. Dinner with regional dry white wines, fish specialities from the Delta. Accommodation on board.

DAY 2

You will still be asleep, when the floating hotel starts the journey toward the Black Sea, on Sfantu Gheorghe branch, the oldest and the most beautiful branch of the Danube. Stop tnear Murighiol village for bird sobservation on: Saraturile Murighiol, Saraturile Plopu and Sarinasu fish enterprise. Rare birds for the westerner like: Rosapelikan, Kraus head pelican, silk heron, silberreiher, magenta heron, Loeffler, rust goose, piston duck, red foot falcon, Saebelschnaebler, stelzenlaeufer, Seeregenpfeifer, Schwarzkopfmoeve, laughter sea-swallow, Blauracke, black woodpecker and Schafstelze, observe. Return on the boat. Dinner and accommodation on board.

DAY 3

Breakfast on the way to Sfintu Gheorghe. Birdwatyching on Sacalin island (at the Black Sea), one of the most important protected area on the largest migrating corridor in Europe. Birds like: Kraus head pelican, rosapelikan, silberreiher, Loeffler, rust goose, oyster Fischer, Stelzenlaeufer, Saebelschnaebler, Triel, Lachseeschwalbe and many other kinds of water, observe. Picknick. In the afternoon, bird observation in the sumps in the proximity of the Sfantu Gheorghe of village. Here you can observe colonies of River-swallows, white wing sea-swallows, mourning sea-swallows, laughter sea gulls, stelzenlaeufer, reed singers and bluethroats. Close to Sfantu Gheorghe rare and threatened plants can be observed, including Convolvulus persica, Ephedra distachya, Merendera sobolifera, Plantago coronopus and Petunia parviflora (IUCN, 1986). The area also accommodate some rare reptiles, including the Vipera ursini, Elaphe longissima and Eremias arguta deserti (IUCN, 1986). Traditional Romanian evening on board.

DAY 4

Breakfast on the way to Dranov channel. Departure by small motor boats to Perisor - Zatoane area, one of the two places where the water meets the sea water in a lagoon. Picnic lunch. Return to the boat and departure toward Murighiol. Dinner and accommodation on board.

DAY 5

Breakfast. Departure by bus to Bucharest airport.
