About Danube Delta
People were already in the Delta from the days of antiquity, according to archaeological discoveries in Chilia Veche and Letea.

The Delta harbours 160 species of both fresh and salt-water fish, with sport focussing on carp, catfish, pike, perch and bream with the main fishing season running from June to October, plus pike fishing available through to March.

At the end of a 1700 mile long journey across Europe, the great Danube River empties its water into the Black Sea. Here the Danube splits into numerous channels and canals, creating the second largest delta on the Continent.
Friday - Arrival in Tulcea, the main gate of the Danube Delta. Transfer on the houseboat and departure to Maliuc. Welcome cocktail. Dinner with fish specialities and regional dry wines. Accommodation on board.
Meeting with the guide in Bucharest. Early afternoon departure, aprox 300 km in 4 – 5 hours, the distance between Bucharest and the town of Tulcea, the main gate of the Danube Delta.

His internship and specialization in soft tourism have been completed in Austria. The biologist Calin Hodor is a member of the Scientific Committee of the National Park Retezat , member of Ornithological Association and doctorand at the University of Bucharest.
Graduated, the Eötvös Lóránt University of Sciences of Budapest as biologist; specialized during the Master of Sciences studies in Ecology, Evolution and Systematics with special emphasis on bird ecology. He started his PhD research on the ecology and dispersal of the Dipper in the Eastern Carpathians of Romania.
Providing consultancy for the staff of other 20 new -established natural and national parks in Romania on biodiversity inventory, monitoring and management as well as projects writhing;
